Projects 101

On the agenda this week is a massive de-clutter, I have shifted furniture, cleaned out the linen cupboards and sorted out Drewe's room. Halfway through Rohan's room and we were "pleasantly" disrupted by giving Dad a hand today...I was the boffin that got to drive the tractor!

A couple of spare bulls resting under the tree...will need them as we have lost a couple of bulls already this season,

Weaner heifers bashing down the lane way.

We are really seeing the benefits of rotational grazing.

Deviating from the road slightly, 60mm of rain over 10 days has produced a couple of wet patches.

Spotted this young fella on his own, he laid down again, most likely 3 day. It is a good sign he is standing up for at least some of the time. I will go back to him again tomorrow.

Not much we can really do once we reach the destination. Drewe is adamant he wants to be able to crack a whip, practice, practice, practice makes .......

Looking back over the plain to black tanks (that are actually white). I love the little idiosyncrasies of the bush. The story goes the tanks used to be black, now they are white, the name sticks, right!

More projects, fixing gateways, corners of fences, general repairs and maintenance really.

The steers were obviously keen to see what we were up to.

Drewe was able to put down the whip for long enough to get a close up and

Rohan was able to pull himself away from his book "Heroes of Olympus", to climb the nearest tree,

A bought steer,

and a homebred fella.

  1. all I can say is how green does it look...my decluttering has ground to a halt as the temperature has risen, one room - the very hot one obviously - still needs attention!
